Let us tell you a story, the story of Uncle Pietro.
Pietro was born in Naples, Italy, on December 9, 1952.
From a young age, he had a deep admiration for the United States of America and dreamed of one day visiting to experience its culture and making new friends across the pond.
However, this dream was abruptly interrupted at the age of 20 when his father passed away, and shortly after, his mother as well, leaving him alone to care for three younger sisters.
The years passed, but the desire continued to linger in his mind.
He got married and had two sons, Fabrizio and Giampiero.
When the conditions for the long-desired trip seemed favorable, his wife fell ill with muscular dystrophy and, a few years later, with cancer. She died in 2008, leaving him a widower at the age of 56.
Physically and emotionally drained, Pietro lost all interest in travel and social life, frequenting only the areas near his home where he soon became friends with the neighbors. Aware of his passion for the USA, his acquaintances started calling him “Uncle Pietro”.
But those who know him well can still see that spark in his eyes, the same spark that made him dream of America with open eyes so many years ago.
It is from that very spark that the idea of the "Uncle Pietro" brand was born: if Pietro could not go to the USA, then this brand would bring a bit of Pietro and Italy to the States!
If the brand circulates in the United States, then, virtually, Pietro will also have fulfilled his dream of walking in the new continent.
Uncle Pietro aims to bring a touch of Italy overseas with a series of quality products, entirely conceived and created in Italy, featuring reproductions of places and life in the Bel Paese, a unique experience, a true dream like that of Uncle Pietro.
